NIBCO, a provider of valves, fittings, and flow control products for commercial, industrial, and institutional construction, as well as residential and irrigation markets, will expand its manufacturing operations, retrain current employees and add 30 new jobs. Its plant has been located in Stuart's Draft for 49 years.

The project will create 135 new jobs.

Gov. Ralph Northam announced July 26 that Cascades Inc. (TSX: CAS), a Canadian leader in the recovery and manufacturing of green packaging and paper tissue products, plan to invest $275 million to establish a lightweight recycled containerboard operation in the former Bear Island Paper Mill in Hanover County. The project will create 140 new jobs.
