Medication reported missing in Food Lion break-in after alarm activation

On Monday, Sept. 20, 2021 at 4:22AM, Prince William County Police officers responded to the Food Lion located at 12420 Dillingham Sq. in the Lake Ridge area of Woodbridge (22192) to investigate an alarm activation.

Police looking for a trio - two men, one woman - in armed robbery attempt behind business on Rt. 1

Upon turning around, the victim observed an unknown woman and two unknown men, one of whom was brandishing a knife towards him. During the altercation, the suspects attempted to take the victim’s property before bystanders intervened.

Brandishing alleged on Midsummer Lane in Woodbridge

The victim, a 59-year-old man, reported to police that he was in the above area to pick up a fare. An unknown man, later identified as the accused, entered the victim’s vehicle carrying a knife and brandished a firearm.

The 24-tear-old male victim reported to police that he was talking to a group of unknown men when he began to walk away.

PWC Police locate suspect in five-month old malicious wounding case

The suspect sought in connection with an April 16, 2021 malicious wounding that was reported to have occurred in the 13600 block of Hornet Way in Woodbridge (22191) was arrested on Sept. 9, 2021.The suspect, Kevin LAZA, taken into custody in the Woodbridge area without incident, according to Master Police Officer Renee Carr, public information officer.

Motorcyclist, 26, killed on Sept. 11

The investigation revealed that the operator of a 2001 Honda CBR 600F4i was stopped in the left westbound travel lane on Dale Blvd at the Hillendale intersection due to red traffic signal. When the light cycled to green, the operator accelerated and lost control of the motorcycle.
