Chief Linn was among seven current and retired town chiefs of police presented with the 2022 President's Award for exemplary leadership that positively impacts policing across the Commonwealth of Virginia.

On Oct. 5, 2022 at approximately 1:33 pm, Manassas City Police officers responded to the Truist Bank in the 10000 block of Dumfries Rd. for a bank robbery.

The vehicle was attempting to merge onto Dumfries Rd. when it struck a pedestrian who was wearing dark clothing and walking within the roadway.

On October 27, 2022 at 10:24PM officers responded to the 13900 block of Richmond Hwy. in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a shooting. When officers arrived on scene, they located a community member in the parking lot of a local business providing first aid to an 18-year-old man suffering from gunshot wounds.

15. The Virginia Department of Forestry (VDOF) reminds everyone to be extra careful when burning yard debris, or enjoying a campfire or backyard fire pit.

This morning, Tuesday, Oct. 25, 2022 at 5:19 AM fire and rescue units were dispatched to the 12000 block of Hatchway Ct. (Lake Ridge) for a reported single-family dwelling fire, according to Matt Smolsky, deputy chief of Prince William Fire & Rescue.

On Thursday, Oct. 20, 2022 at 9:05 PM Prince William Fire & Rescue units were dispatched to the 10200 block of Balls Ford Road (Manassas) for a reported single-family dwelling fire. Crews arrived to find a working basement fire with all occupants out of the home, according to Matt Smolsky, Deputy Fire Chief.
