Police said their investigation revealed that two family members, identified as the deceased and an 80-year-old man, were involved in a verbal altercation that escalated. One of the parties was shot once in the upper body and died from injuries sustained during the altercation.

Police charge two with strangulation in two recent incidents.

Last evening, March 1, at 4:36 p.m.. Prince William County fire and rescue units were dispatched to the offices of Miller Musmar CPA in the 10500 block of Crestwood Drive (Sudley) for a report of the building on fire.

Carjacking, commercial burglary and attempted residential burglary reported to Prince William County police.

The victim reported that she left her car running and took her laundry into the Big Coin Laundry on Mathis Ave. When she came back outside, her vehicle was missing.

The investigation revealed the victim, a 21-year-old woman, and an acquaintance, identified as the accused, were involved in a verbal altercation earlier in the day before the victim left the apartment. A short time later, the victim returned to the apartment to find her mixed Maine-Coon Tabby cat injured and lying on the floor.

On Feb. 22, 2023 at 6:13PM, Prince William County Police officers responded to investigate a potential threat of violence made towards Lake Ridge Middle School, 12350 Mohican Road in Woodbridge (22192), according to Master Police Officer Renee Carr, public information officer. The investigation revealed that an unknown individual, later identified as a student of another school, posted threats directed towards the school over Snapchat.
