Double Homicide Investigation *UPDATE – Based upon further investigation into the July 31 deaths of two men from a house fire on Lomond Dr in Manassas, detectives from the Homicide Unit and investigators from the Fire Marshals’ Office are investigating this incident as an arson-related double homicide.

Manassas City Police Dept. wants more public comment during the reaccreditation process

Manassas City Police Department, which has been an accredited law enforcement agency since 1997, will have a reaccreditation onsite visit by a team of assessors in August, according to Lt. J. P. Bisek, who is in charge of professional standards for MCPD. The police department encourages more public comment during the reaccreditation process.
