Prince William County Police detectives have obtained an additional charge against the accused Rui JIANG, in connection to the threat of violence investigation that began at the Park Valley Church at 4500 Waverly Farm Dr in Haymarket (20169) on Sept. 24, 2023.

Victim reports being surrounded by 5 unknown men during Dec. 3 robbery in Dale City

On December 2, 2023, at 11:01 p.m., Manassas City Police responded to the 8900 block of Center Street for an auto accident with a pedestrian being struck. The pedestrian was pronounced deceased by emergency medical personnel.

Prince William County Police reported that the investigation revealed the driver of a 1994 Honda Civic was traveling westbound on Davis Ford Rd. at a high rate of speed, when the driver lost control of the vehicle, crossed into the eastbound lanes, and left the roadway. The vehicle traveled off road before striking a tree and coming to rest.

Two fires—the Quaker Run Fire in Madison County and the Tuggles Gap fire in Patrick County—broke containment lines over the weekend. The State of Emergency declaration allows dditional resources to be employed to contain these fires and to respond to additional fires as necessary.

Firefighters from the Virginia Department of Forestry (DOF) and partner departments are continuing containment efforts on the now 390-acre Quaker Run Fire that began Tuesday in Madison County near Syria, according to a DOF news release.
