Detectives from the Prince William County Police Department's Homicide Unit have confirmed the identity of the victim found deceased alongside a path in Marumsco Acre Lake Park in Woodbridge on Friday, July 13.

Shooting Investigation – On July 20 at 1:49AM, officers responded to the El Ranchon located at 13638 Jefferson Davis Hwy in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a shooting.

Death Investigation *VICTIM IDENTIFIED – Detectives from the Homicide Unit have confirmed the identity of the victim found deceased along a path in Marumsco Acre Lake Park on July 13. The cause of the victim’s death continues to be investigated.

Juvenile, 16, has been charged with aggravated malicious wounding, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, discharging a firearm from a vehicle, and possession of a firearm by a minor.

Capt. Matthew Fox from the City of Manassas Fire and Rescue Department has been conferred a designation that only 448 others have achieved worldwide. He has completed the process to become a Fire Officer or FO and was awarded the designation recently by the Commission on Professional Credentialing.

QMT Windchimes in Manassas reports that it is donating the purchase of an Emergency Response Vehicle (ERV) to the American Red Cross - National Capital Region (NCR), according to a news release from the company. The Red Cross will use the ERV to serve the Prince William County area.
