Detectives with the Prince William County Police Department have confirmed thai one of the victims shot during the early morning robbery at the Denny’s on Sudley Rd in Manassas has died, according to 1st Sgt. Jonathan Perok, police spokesman.

Shortly after 1 a.m. on Dec. 22 and Dec. 23, two Manassas area businesses were robbed. In one of the incidents the suspects, described as thin, wore masks and gloves. In the other, the suspects were dressed in black; one had his face covered, witnesses said.

A prisoner awaiting sentencing got a few hours of freedom Dec. 20 when he was mistakenly released by officials at the Prince William-Manassas Regional Adult Detention Center. Prince William County Police later picked him up in Gainesville.
