The Osbourn High School It's Academic Team will be appearing on the TV quiz show, It's Academic, on Saturday, Jan. 4, 2025, beginning at at 10 a.m. on our local PBS channel. The episode was filmed on Saturday, October. 26, 2024.

VEX robotics competition Jan. 9 at Patriot High School

The next VEX robotics competition for middle school students will take place on Saturday, Jan. 9, at Patriot High School in Nokesville. The all-day event will begin at 8 a.m.

Lillie Jessie, Occoquan Magisterial District representative on the Prince William County School Board, was elected vice chairman for 2016 at the School Board’s annual organizational meeting Jan. 6.. Jessie first joined the School Board in 2012 and was reelected in November 2015.

VCU inks MOU with University of Havana

Governor Terry McAuliffe announced today, Jan. 4, that Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the University of Havana. The MOU will allow both institutions to work together to develop cooperative programs in a variety of academic disciplines studied at both institutions.
