Female, 13, arrested with knife on Beville Middle School grounds

On Halloween, October 31, 2024, at 2:46PM, the School Resource Officer (SRO) assigned to Beville Middle School located at 4901 Dale Blvd. in Woodbridge (22193) was alerted to a student in possession of a knife. After consultation with Juvenile Court Services, the case resulted in formal action and will be handled through the court process at a later date.

VCU inks MOU with University of Havana

Governor Terry McAuliffe announced today, Jan. 4, that Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the University of Havana. New program will teach students how government works and how to influence it

A $23,000 grant recently awarded to Prince William County Public Schools will support a program to teach 150-200 students across the county how their local, state, and federal governments work, give them an understanding of how to change public policy, and provide hands-on experience researching and debating current issues in the community.

PW School Board organizational meeting on Wednesday, Jan. 6

Prince William County School Board will hold its annual organizational meeting on Wednesday, January 6 at 7 p.m. prior to its regular public meeting. Board members are scheduled to elect a vice chairman who will serve for one year; make appointments for clerk and deputy clerk; and establish the Board’s meeting schedule for 2016.
