Female, 13, arrested with knife on Beville Middle School grounds

On Halloween, October 31, 2024, at 2:46PM, the School Resource Officer (SRO) assigned to Beville Middle School located at 4901 Dale Blvd. in Woodbridge (22193) was alerted to a student in possession of a knife. After consultation with Juvenile Court Services, the case resulted in formal action and will be handled through the court process at a later date.

Seven Prince William County robotics teams win regional SeaPerch Challenge

SeaPerch teams from Gar-Field, Patriot, Stonewall Jackson, and Woodbridge High Schools were winners in the Northern Virginia SeaPerch Challenge.

Mathematics Challenge 24 Tournament on Saturday, April 30

Students in grades 3–8 who win the grade-level competitions at their individual schools may enter the tournament. Trophies are awarded to the winners at each grade level. This competition is organized by the PWCS Office of Student Learning - Mathematics.

Committee of 100 to examine how Prince William County should site future schools

The Committee of 100 will host a discussion March 17 at 7:45 p.m. at the Wyndam Garden Hotel, 10800 Van Dor Lane, in Manassas on how Prince William County should choose locations for future schools.

Registration begins March 29 for NOVA summer sessions

Registration begins March 29 for Northern Virginia Community College’s summer session. Students must register by 11:59 p.m. on the day before a session begins. Classes in the 12-week session begin May 16 and end Aug. 7. NOVA also offers two six-week sessions during the summer, starting May 16 and June 28.

Kindergarten registration in Fauquier County

Kindergarten registration for children attending Fauquier County Public Schools will be held April 11-15, 2016. Children who are 5 years of age on or before September 30, 2016, are eligible for kindergarten.

10th Congressional District Military Academy Day is April 2 in Loudoun

Congresswoman Barbara Comstock has announced the annual and free 10th Congressional District Military Academy Day will be held Saturday, April 2 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Loudoun County Public School Administration building located at 21000 Education Court, Ashburn VA 20148. Service representatives will make formal presentations between 10:30 a.m. and noon.

T. Clay Wood’s Yuditsky wins national Outstanding Assistant Principal Award

For the second year in a row, the Virginia Association of Elementary School Principals has chosen a Prince William County Public Schools administrator as the winner of the national Outstanding Assistant Principal Award for Virginia. Melissa Yuditsky learned of her selection at a ceremony held at T. Clay Wood Elementary School.
