Prince William County Public Schools (PWCS) official enrollment is 88,920 students for the 2016-17 school year. Enrollment grew by 1,667 students, or 1.9 percent from the previous year. The new growth figure eclipses the 1.2 percent increase seen the previous year by more than 600 students.

Nearly 30 outstanding Prince William County Schools' student vocalists have been named members of the 2016 Virginia Honors Choir, one of the highest honors in their musical careers.

Hundreds of choral students from middle and high schools across the county are practicing for the upcoming All-County Chorus event on October 28 and 29 in the auditorium of Freedom High School. The event will challenge the singers as they rehearse new music with guest conductors.

White House history came alive for students in teacher Lydia Stewart’s class at Osbourn Park High School in early October. Her students, their parents, and other teachers toured White House grounds and gardens, including the Jacqueline Kennedy Garden, Rose Garden, and Kitchen Garden; the Bee Hive; and the South Lawn of the White House.
