“Potomac Shores” Elementary School Naming Committee will hold a community input session to receive name suggestions for the “Potomac Shores” Elementary School, under construction at 2500 River Heritage Blvd, in Dumfries. Prince William County School Board voted to name the new Facilities Services Building 52 for retired director of Facilities Services, Randy G. Dasher, at its meeting on January 4.Randy Dasher rose through the ranks from draftsman to director over a career spanning four decades, during which he had a role in the construction of 70+ schools, numerous school additions, renovations, and multiple school improvements.

There was no school for students at the new Baldwin Elementary School in the city of Manassas VA today, Tuesday, Jan. 10, because of standing water in the building due to frozen pipes and no heat. Late this afternoon, the Manassas City school division announced there will be no school for students on Wednesday, Jan. 11, due to the remaining clean-up in the building from the presence of water.
