Prince William County Police Department has scheduled two presentations for parents in the community March 8 at Sudley Elementary and March 9 at Hylton High School on Internet Safety, Social Media and "Sexting" Issues.

A work session on the 2017=18 proposed school budget previously scheduled for March 2 has been cancelled. School Board Chairman Ryan Sawyers will hold two Town Hall meetings on the budget, Friday, March 3, 6:30–8 p.m. at Mullen Elementary School and Monday, March 6, 6:30–8 p.m. at Forest Park High School.

Three automotive students at the Manassas Campus of Northern Virginia Community College each received a $1,000 scholarship from Volkswagen Group of America. The scholarships were awarded based on essays the students wrote about how the scholarship would benefit them as well as a recommendation from the automotive faculty.
