To help advance women in technology, NOVA has launched a college-wide project, Assisting Females in Technology (aFIT), a series of free interactive workshops and panel sessions. Isabel Lee, a freshman at Battlefield High School, is the high school winner of the Virginia Lottery Thank a Teacher Art Contest, according to a news release. After receiving nearly 1,000 entries, Va. Lottery chose elementary, middle and high school winners who will have their artwork featured on thank-you notes that will be distributed to thousands of teachers across the Commonwealth during National Teacher Appreciation Week May 7-11, 2018.
