U.S. News & World Report has recognized Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology, as 10th in the nation and first in Virginia. The high school which is partially supported by Prince William County taxpayers is in Fairfax but offers a specialized education to students from Prince William County Schools, among others.

Osbourn High School teacher Kristine Heaver is the 2018 Washington Post Teacher of the Year for Manassas City Public Schools (MCPS). She is among 20 recipients of the prestigious award, which has honored teaching excellence in the Washington region for three decades.

As the only performing arts teacher, out of the 75 teachers chosen, Patriot High School's Kathryn Facemire will contribute as the visual and performing arts expert for the new program currently in development. She will guide the creation of content and, this summer, will lead workshops for the teachers who will pilot the new program across the country in the upcoming school year.
