Prince William County Schools Transportation Office reports it is continuing "to refine its bus routes and schedules to ensure the best use of drivers and vehicles to provide predictable, on-time performance" and that some updated bus scheduled will be coming tomorrow, wednesday, Aug. 22.

Battlefield High School’s Mary Beth Starkey, teacher on special assignment, and Lauren Maula, math teacher, received the 2018 Four Diamonds Mini-THON® Leadership Development Award for their roles as Mini-THON® advisors for providing an environment that encourages leadership development, empowers students and supports individuals’ visions and goals.

The office of Congresswoman Barbara Comstock (R-VA)is accepting applications for the 2018 Congressional App Challenge. The challenge is a opportunity for high school students to join with their peers to create their own apps and learn how to code.

The 25th “Tee Off for Education” Golf Classic benefit Aug. 3 raised more than $108,000 for SPARK, the Education Foundation for Prince William County Public Schools, according to a news release.
