The Osbourn High School It's Academic Team will be appearing on the TV quiz show, It's Academic, on Saturday, Jan. 4, 2025, beginning at at 10 a.m. on our local PBS channel. The episode was filmed on Saturday, October. 26, 2024.

WSHS honors former principal Dr. Thomas Gaul and school’s notable theatre program

Woodbridge High School has a long history and thousands of alumni. To honor both, the school created an Alumni and History Wall to represent students, staff, faculty, and programs. Annually, Woodbridge hosts an alumni event to add the newest images to the wall. This year the school honored one of its former principals and the theatre program.

Students to be sent info about new PWC school boundaries and plans for 2019-20 school year

Information regarding elementary school boundary changes for the 2019-20 school year are in the process of being sent to those students affected. School principals are planning various events to welcome their new families, as well as provide information for a successful start to the new school year.

Students and adults may apply by March 15 for PWCS Practical Nursing Program

High school seniors and adults interested in nursing careers are encouraged to investigate the Prince William County Public Schools Practical Nursing program. The application period ends March 15, 2019.

Brentsville District and Colgan are only PWC high schools to hold 2019 graduation at their schools

Graduation dates, times, and locations have been announced for Prince William County Public Schools high school, summer school, practical nursing program, and adult education students. Events scheduled at EagleBank Arena, Jiffy Lube Live Pavilion, and Verizon Auditorium at GMU are subject to change.

Westridge Elementary School assembly celebrates African-American history in story and song

Students at Westridge Elementary School in Woodbridge hosted an assembly to celebrate African-American history, where they shared stories and music from many aspects of African-American culture.

New school at 4060 PW Parkway named for the late PWC SupervisorJohn D. Jenkins

The Prince William County School Board unanimously approved a recommendation to name “Parkway Elementary School” after John D. Jenkins, who passed away after a long illness on February 6, 2019. The new elementary school will open in August and is located at 4060 Prince William Parkway in Woodbridge.

Va. Science Museum to have presence in Northern Virginia

Developed in partnership with the Fairfax-based Children’s Science Center, the new regional science center will be an extension of the Science Museum of Virginia
