Under the auspices of the University School of Medicine, 50+ scientific experts from across the United States, including virologists, infectious disease specialists and medical doctors, are launching a virtual town hall series beginning March 22 (and continuing on on March 24, 25, 26 and 30) to answer the public’s questions about the COVID-19 vaccines. The first town hall begins tonight at 8 p.m. and will run about 45 minutes.

United States Military Academy at West Point, NY announced the Rhodes Scholars for the Class of 2021, CDT Tyrese Bender and CDT Evan Walker. They are part of a select group of 32 scholars from the United States and will be joining recipients from more than 60 other countries. The last time West Point had more than one Rhodes Scholar was in 2014.

Prince William County Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. (PWCAC-DST) will host its 31st annual Dr. Martin Luther King Youth Oratorical Program on Monday, Jan. 18 at 11 a.m. via its YouTube Channel – PWCAC-DST-MEDIA. Past winner Norman Jones and the Rev. Al Sharpton will be among the guest presenters. The 2021 theme is “Beyond the Dream – Young Voices with Something to Say.”
