Female, 13, arrested with knife on Beville Middle School grounds

On Halloween, October 31, 2024, at 2:46PM, the School Resource Officer (SRO) assigned to Beville Middle School located at 4901 Dale Blvd. in Woodbridge (22193) was alerted to a student in possession of a knife. After consultation with Juvenile Court Services, the case resulted in formal action and will be handled through the court process at a later date.

False report of Nov. 9 shooting at Woodbridge Senior High School

On Tuesday, Nov. 9, 2021 at 11:42AM, the Prince William County Public Safety Communications Center received a call from an individual reporting a shooting-in-progress at Woodbridge High School, located at 3001 Old Bridge Rd in Woodbridge. The School Resource Officer (SRO) was present at the school at the time of the call and immediately took action to investigate the alleged incident.

Two PWC schools get Va. Dept, of Education grants for 21st Century Community Learning Centers

Two Prince William Schools in Woodbridge will be receiving two of the 37 new grants the Virginia Department of Education is awarding to fund 21st Century Community Learning Centers in communities across the commonwealth. The grants range from $50,000 to $200,000 and will allow school divisions, faith-based organizations, and community groups to provide students with tutoring and enrichment activities that complement regular academic programs.
