New boundaries for the 12th high school in Prince William County will "prioritize racial/ethnic diversity," according to a news release from the school division. The U.S. Department of Justice raised concerns about the first plan but says this version will pass muster.

Students from T. Clay Wood Elementary School in Nokesville were transported to Brentsville District High School as a precaution due to continued police activity in the area, according to Irene Cromer, spokesman for Prince William County schools.

Woodbridge Senior High School’s Homecoming weekend is Oct. 17-18. The annual Homecoming Parade is Friday, Oct. 17 from 4 to 5 p.m. The parade is an annual highlight of the fall and a hallmark of the school’s Homecoming festivities.

Seniors at Prince William County Schools boosted their combined scores on the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) by 13 points says the latest report from the College Board. The 2014 combined PWCS scores again exceed the national average, according to a news release from Irene Cromer, supervisor of school community relations for the county school division.
