Students seeking to take on in-depth research, collaboration, and communication challenges to build college and career skills will get new opportunities this fall as Patriot and Woodbridge High Schools offer The College Board’s AP Capstone program.

On March 23 at 6:30 p.m., the Manassas Campus of Northern Virginia Community College will host “Chinese Culture and Growing Up in a Communist Country,” a presentation by Grace Yao and Dong Xiang. The event, which begins with light refreshments at 6 p.m., is free and open to the community.

The 25th annual food tasting that was to have been on March 3 at Patriot High School in Nokesville put on by Prince William County Schools to aid in cafeteria selections for the 2015-16 school year has been rescheduled to March 25.

Jeanine Lawson, Brentsville District supervisor, and Gil Trenum, Brentsville District member School Board Member, have canceled their town hall meeting for tonight Monday, March 2, at Gainesville Middle School, because Prince William County Schools are closed today.
