F2B is an interactive, mobile literacy program that has been proven to increase academy vocabulary, comprehension and critical thinking skills in young children.

University of Mary Washington and The George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences have joined forces to streamline the process for UMW students to pursue medical school. Fauquier Schools reminds parents of physical exam and immunizations requirements

Parents and guardians are reminded that, by law, all kindergartners must have at least one dose of required immunizations, and all sixth-grade students are required to have a tetanus, diphtheria, pertussis booster vaccination (TDaP). Also, all newly enrolled kindergarten through fifth-grade students must have a physical in order to start school.

St. Paul’s school changing name to St. Michael’s Academy

St. Paul’s School located in Haymarket is undergoing some changes, one of which will take place this upcoming school year, 2015-16. “Beginning in the next school year, our school will be known as St. Michael’s Academy," said Kathlerine Howe Evans, EdD, the principal.

Funding available for IT credentials at NOVA-Manassas

Manassas Campus of Northern Virginia Community College is offering several short-term certificate programs in information technology that may be eligible for funding depending on family income. The courses start in September and end by December.

Brothers and sisters, ages 8–11, are invited to attend a "sibshops" workshop and share the challenges and joys of having a sibling who has special needs, July 17 at Tyler Elementary In Gainesville or Aug. 18 at Fitzgerald Elementary in Woodbridge.
