Prince William County Schools' online access is having difficulties caused by vendor-related data problems occurring nationwide. PWCS is working with the vendor to restore full service as soon as possible, though it is unlikely before opening day, a news release on Aug. 27 said.

Governor Terry McAuliffe Aug. 24 signed Executive Order 47 establishing the Governor’s Council on Youth Entrepreneurship. The council will be responsible for coordinating and implementing youth entrepreneurship initiatives and fostering the growth of the entrepreneurial ecosystem for young people in Virginia.

Prince William County Public School students beat the pass rates of counterparts statewide on the latest Standards of Learning assessments in almost all subject areas, and across most demographic groups, according to initial results released Aug. 11 by the Virginia Department of Education.
