Female, 13, arrested with knife on Beville Middle School grounds

On Halloween, October 31, 2024, at 2:46PM, the School Resource Officer (SRO) assigned to Beville Middle School located at 4901 Dale Blvd. in Woodbridge (22193) was alerted to a student in possession of a knife. After consultation with Juvenile Court Services, the case resulted in formal action and will be handled through the court process at a later date.

Comstock announces Congressional app challenge

The Congressional App Challenge began Nov. 9, 2015 and runs through Jan. 15, 2016, challenging high school students to design and create an original app for submission. The submitted app can be on any topic, provided it is original, appropriate, and has been made within a year of Jan. 16, 2016.

“Spring” semester registration at Northern Virginia Community College starts Nov. 16

Northern Virginia Community College students can secure "Spring" semester classes while most choices are available without paying tuition from Nov. 16 until Dec. 15. Starting Dec. 15, tuition is due by 5 p.m. on the next business day after registering. Online registration at http://www.nvcc.edu is open 24 hours a day. Spring semester classes start on Jan. 11, 2016.
