The Prince William Soil & Water Conservation District (PWSWCD) will begin a series of workshops for small acreage landowners (5-20 acres) who are thinking of establishing, or have already started, a small-scale/alternative agricultural operation.

The 864-acre Stone Haven project south of Wellington Road and Jiffy Lube Live will be considered Sept. 3 by Prince William County Planning Commission at a 7 p.m. public hearing in McCoart Government Center off Prince William Parkway.

The parking lot at the train depot in Old Town Manassas has reopened to the public following renegotiation of the city's lease with the parking lot's owner.

Prince William Supervisors along with Virginia Governor Terry McAuliffe, broke ground for a new VRE station at the site for the future Potomac Shores Town Center, on the Cherry Hill Peninsula off US 1 in eastern Prince William County.

Update: The Prince William County Landfill has been reopened. The Household Hazardous Waste and Electronics Collection site, however will remain closed until Saturday at 10 a.m.
