Governor Terry McAuliffe announced Sept. 8 that Ventech Solutions, a SEI CMMI Level 3 software company that specializes in managing full life cycle deployment of software systems and solutions, will invest $1.5 million to establish an Innovation, Operations and Engineering (IOE) center in Prince William County.

On Saturday, Sept. 12, local Boy Scouts, Prince William County Solid Waste Division and Keep Prince William Beautiful will celebrate the grand opening of a second American Flag Collection Center in Prince William County. The Balls Ford Road Yard Waste Compost Facility, 13000 Balls Ford Road, Manassas, flag collection service will be joining the service at the county landfill for citizens and businesses to retire American flags with respect.

The community is invited to hear business and education views of the candidates for chairman of the Prince William Board of County Supervisors on Oct. 1 at 7 p.m. The debate is sponsored by Northern Virginia Community College and Prince William Chamber of Commerce. It will be in Howsman Hall on NOVA's Manassas campus.

Three boys and girls will be honored by the Prince William County Office of Public Safety Communications on Saturday, Sept. 12, 2 at 1 p.m. during a “Make the Right Call” presentation. The ceremony will be held at the Sean T. Connaughton Plaza adjacent to the McCoart Government Center, 1 County Complex Court, Prince William, VA (22192) as part of Public Safety Day.

The 22 Prince William County residents who lost their lives at the Pentagon and at the World Trade Center on Sept. 11, 2001, will be honored and remembered during a ceremony at the county government center off Prince William Parkway on Friday, Sept. 11, 2015, at 9:30 a.m.

The City of Manassas Park reported late Friday that it has contracted with Branscome Paving, Inc. to perform road resurfacing on Manassas Drive between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m., Monday through Friday ending Friday, Sept. 4.

On Friday, Aug. 28, lawyers from the American Civil Liberties Union of Virginia, representing Fairfax resident Harrison Neal, will be in Fairfax County Circuit Court arguing against the Fairfax County Police Department's (FCPD) attempt to dismiss Mr. Neal’s case challenging the unlawful collection of his personal information.

Manassas Park City Treasurer, Commissioner of Revenue, and Water Department offices will be closed to customers on September 8th, 9th, and 10th due to essential training of City Staff.
