Saturday trash and recycling collection services held at the Evergreen Volunteer Fire Department and Rescue Squad station will continue through February 27, 2016 due to the cooperation of the volunteer fire company, according to a Dec. 23 news release from Prince William County Solid Waste Division. Previously it was announced that Dec. 26 would be the final day.

The developer of the Stone Haven property has publicly posted a letter stating it is officially withdrawing its application, according to Brentsville Supervisor Jeanine Lawson. That means there will be NO vote tomorrow night and no vote in the future on this Stone Haven project, Lawson said. The supervisor had encouraged the community to be involved in the land development issue.
