The forecast has changed and the winter storm is moving much faster than expected. As snowfall maybe begin as early as noon, Manassas Park City Offices and the Community Center are closing today Friday, January 22nd at 10:00am. All classes, programs, and rentals are cancelled.

Manassas Park City Schools have cancelled schools for tomorrow, Friday, January 22nd. In addition, Manassas Park City Offices and the Manassas Park Community Center will close tomorrow at noon in anticipation of tomorrow's forecasted weather. All programs, classes, and rentals after 12pm will be cancelled.

In anticipation of the inclement weather predicted for this weekend, the City of Manassas Park has issued the following advisory to residents and all Manassas Park Community Center patrons with so they can be better prepared and informed for this weekend and all winter season.

Prince William Board of County Supervisors Chairman Corey A. Stewart said Jan. 18 he will propose at the Board of County Supervisors' meeting Jan. 19 that the county waive all fees associated with the county issuance of concealed handgun permits.

Prince William Board of County Supervisors discussed concerns at its Jan. 12 meeting over Dominion Virginia Power's request to discharge of water from its coal ash ponds at Possum Point. The Board directed County staff to attend the Virginia Water Control Board meeting on Thursday, Jan. 14 at 9:30 a.m. and brief the Board on any relevant information arising from the meeting.
