PWC Clerk of Court Jackie Smith introduces first newsletter known as The Circuit

In the first edition, readers will discover several public services the Clerk's Office offesr at the courthouse and within the community. This issue highlights programs available to residents, outlines the processes for obtaining public services, and shares upcoming community events.

Route 28 roadwork updates April 17-21

Prince William County Department of Transportation Department will be working along sections of Route 28 corridor for paving, pavement marking installation and shoulder stone paving April 17-21, between 9 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.

Smith and Miller vie in Special Election Tuesday, April 18, for Clerk of Prince William Court

The two candidates to complete the eight-year term of the late Michele McQuigg as Clerk of the Prince William Circuit Court (includes Manassas and Manassas Park) agree on many of the changes and improvements they would like to see in the Clerk's office. What they strongly disagree on is which of them is more qualified to make those changes happen.

PW Conservation Alliance presenting free land use workshops with variety of speakers on April 28

Prince William Conservation Alliance will conduct Land Use 101, "a (free) workshop for homeowners, civic groups, realtors, students, and others interested in planning for a bright future" on Friday, April 28 from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

County DOT continues road work on Rt. 28 while schools are on spring break April 10-14

While Prince William County Schools are closed April 10-14, Prince William County road crews will continue working along sections of Va. 28 corridor for roadwork and shoulder widening.

PWC government/ school officials to powwow on capital projects

Prince William County government and school leaders are scheduled to meet and discuss collaboration opportunities for a Joint Capital Improvement Program (CIP), according to a news release from Prince William County Schools. The Joint CIP Committee meetings will be held in April, May and June. The first meeting is April 22, 7:30-9 a.m. at the Stonewall Jackson High School library.

New Parks and Recreation Director to join Prince William County staff

Seth Hendler-Voss is the new Parks and Recreation Director for Prince William County. He is a landscape architect, was a former town manager in North Carolina and previously worked in Asheville, NC and Atlanta, GA in parks and recreation.

Prince William Police Department career fair April 1 in Manassas

Prince William County Police Department is recruiting for sworn law enforcement positions and a variety of law enforcement related civilian careers on Saturday, April 1, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the Paul T. White Jr. Western District police station in Manassas. The station is off Wellington Rd. at 8900 Freedom Center Blvd., Manassas VA 20110.

Candland to hold town meetings April 5 &6, wants feedback on county budget priorities

Gainesville Supervisor Pete Candland wants to hear from constituents on their priorities for the 2017-18 Prince William County budget.
