The Prince William County Police Department will deploy Body Worn Cameras this fall. The roll out of the Body-Worn Cameras (BWC) will begin in September and continue through the end of the year.

Prince William Board of County Supervisors voted unanimously June 1 at a special meeting to deny Dominion Virginia Power access to build an overhead transmission line across property at Somerset Crossing, which is protected by an Open-Space Easement held by the county.

Joyce Phillips, a former chairman of the Prince William Library Board of Trustees and a retired school teacher, was honored recently when the pavilion at Independent Hill Neighborhood Library in Manassas was named the Joyce Phillips Pavilion during the library's 30th anniversary celebration.

On Tuesday, May 16, at 1 p.m., the Prince William Board of County Supervisors will host the annual Prince William County Armed Forces Day Ceremony at Freedom Park, 1 County Complex Court, Woodbridge, VA The tribute will be held at the War Memorial, the black granite monument that lists the names of all county residents who lost their lives while serving in war.
