The all-organic and sustainability garden behind the Manassas Senior Center is full of life and color, including different shades of purples, greens and reds. While the garden is pretty to look at, it is also put to good use by the center.

City of Manassas recycling rate increases to 47.2% - 50% goal is within reach!

Last year, residents dropped off more than 143 tons of recyclable materials. With more information available to residents on how to recycle, they have been working to reduce the amount of “contaminated” materials by washing out their plastic and metal containers and not putting plastic carrier bags in with recycling.

Prince William County’s 2016 recycling rate jumps 3.1 points above 2015

Prince William County achieved a recycle rate of 36.8% in 2016. This was an increase from the 2015 rate of 33.7%, according to Prince William County Public Works, Solid Waste Division Recycling Office.

July 29 trash and recyclables collection at Evergreen FD cancelled for paving

The weekly trash and recycling collection held on Saturdays at the Evergreen Fire Department will be closed on Saturday, July 29, due to paving at the site.
