Manassas’ $68 million in 2016 tourism revenue linked to city’s “visitor friendly” customer service

Tourism revenue for the City of Manassas reached $68 million in 2016. “The City of Manassas prides itself on being visitor friendly,” said City Manager W. Patrick Pate. “According to the 2016 Citizen Satisfaction Survey completed by ETC Institute, the City of Manassas scored more than 20 percent above the national average in customer service.”

Corey A. Stewart, Prince William Board of County Supervisors Chairman, spoke at the county's 9/11 remembrance ceremony this morning and talked of the country's pain that day in 2001. "As a nation, we lost nearly 3,000 people – people who were neighbors, friends and family members. The entire country mourned their loss, and the loss of our sense of safety and security."

Human rights complaints can now be filed online in Prince William County

Until recently, those who had a human or civil rights complaint had to go to the Ferlazzo Building just off US 1 in southern Woodbridge to fill out a form. Now, there's an online form that goes directly to the Prince William County Human Rights Commission, an agency that investigates human and civil rights complaints.

A public information meeting about the Route 28 Corridor Feasibility Study will be held from 6:30-8:30 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 7, at the Manassas Park Community Center, 99 Adams St. in Manassas Park, and from 6:30-8:30 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 11, at the Centreville Elementary School at 14330 Green Trails Blvd. in Centreville. County schedules ceremony to remember those lost on 9/11

The 22 Prince William County residents who lost their lives at the Pentagon and at the World Trade Center on Sept. 11, 2001, will be honored and remembered during a ceremony on Monday, Sept. 11, 2017, at 9 a.m.
