The Prince William Board of County Supervisors agreed Sept. 19 to construct a new 28,105 square-foot animal shelter, which will cost an estimated $14.1 million. Board chairman Corey Stewart said it will take care of the county's needs for the next 40 years.

Tourism revenue for the City of Manassas reached $68 million in 2016. “The City of Manassas prides itself on being visitor friendly,” said City Manager W. Patrick Pate. “According to the 2016 Citizen Satisfaction Survey completed by ETC Institute, the City of Manassas scored more than 20 percent above the national average in customer service.”

"As a nation, we lost nearly 3,000 people – people who were neighbors, friends and family members. The entire country mourned their loss, and the loss of our sense of safety and security."
