Private/public groups that deal with housing coordinate to help residents having a housing crisis

Prince William Area Continuum of Care, an organization of churches, non-profits, charities and governments, recently launched the Coordinated Entry System to help Prince William area residents who experience a housing crisis. PW School Board unanimous in approving budget plan for 2018-19

Prince William County School Board unanimously approved the FY 2019 Capital Improvements Program and school budget for $1.5 billion on March 22. The budget provides for a full-step increase for all eligible employees. The PWCS budget will be presented to the Prince William Board of County Supervisors on April 3. The Board of County Supervisors will consider it on April 30.

Best of the Region art winners announced and now showing in The Hall at Manassas City Hall

Now showing until April 6 in the Hall at Manassas City Hall, the Best of the Region Art Show featuring the work of artists from this region. Gainesville Supervisor wants feedback on county budget at March 27 and April 5 town hall meetings

Now that the Prince William County Executive has presented his proposed tax rate and potential spending plan, Gainesville Supervisor Pete Candland has set two town hall meetings to discuss the priorities of the County.

PW School Board abbreviated meeting and public hearing on budget on March 22

The Prince William County School Board will hold a short meeting and public hearing on the proposed 2018-19 school budget on Thursday, March 22, at 7 p.m., in the Kelly Leadership Center (regardless of school status).

Manassas Park City Schools are closed Thursday, March 22nd. Preschool, extended care, and MP3 will also be closed on Thursday. The Community Center is currently scheduled to open on time.

How good is your well water? Va. Extension offers testing for $55; get test kit March 26

Testing well water might not be something that well owners and users do regularly, but they should, according to the Virginia Cooperative Extension, or VCE. So VCE is offering Prince William residents who have wells a $55 opportunity to find out what is in their well water as part of the Prince William Drinking Water Clinic.
