Following a national search, the Board of County Supervisors announced the hiring of Christina M. Winn as the Economic Development Director for Prince William County. "Ms. Winn knows Northern Virginia and has proven her ability to attract and retain businesses here," said Corey A. Stewart, Chairman of the Prince William Board of County Supervisors.

At the May 20, 2019 meeting of the City of Manassas City Council, Vice Mayor Ken Elston notified the public of his official resignation from City Council effective at the end of July 2019.

Prince William County Police will join law enforcement agencies throughout Virginia in the “Click It or Ticket” campaign to enforce safety-belt and child safety-seat laws. Expect high-visibility patrols – day and night – from Monday, May 13, through Sunday, June 2 (which includes the Memorial Day holiday weekend).

The Barnes House has a rich history. Built in 1797 as a tavern, it is one of the county's oldest buildings. It has been moved twice, rebuilt and restored in 2017, and now sits at the Montclair Community Library. With the exhibits inside the house complete, it is ready for visitors.

Members of the community are invited to join the Board of County Supervisors in honoring the country's veterans during a ceremony on Tuesday, May 14, at 1 p.m. at Prince William County War Memorial in Freedom Park in recognition of Armed Forces Day May 14 and Memorial Day May 27.

Prince William County's newest supervisor, Victor S. Angry, was sworn in April 11 to fill the Neabsco District seat on the Prince William Board of County Supervisors. Angry takes over the seat left vacant at the death of John D. Jenkins, who served on the board for 36 years before his death in February.

Prince William County Service Authority will hold a public information meeting about the Bull Run Mountain and Evergreen Drinking Water Supply Project on Wednesday, April 17, at 7 p.m.
