PWC firefighters fought fires at two townhouses and one garage in about a 12-hour period June 7-8.

The grounds of Liberia House. accessed from Mathis Ave., will be the setting for the 4th annual Manassas Bee Festival June 22. Prince William Cooperative Extension invites county residents to bring dull garden tools to the Teaching Garden (on the grounds of the St. Benedictine Monastery at 9535 Linton Hall Rd, Bristow) this coming Saturday, June 1, from 9 a.m.to noon.

According to a news release from Virginia Farm Bureau, the property located in Caroline County north of Richmond had strong economic impact, hosting more than 536,000 visitors at 182 diverse events last year, bringing in substantial revenue, supporting many jobs and paying more than $1 million in taxes.

Prince William County fire and rescue units were dispatched to a house fire in the 19100 block of Rosings Way (Triangle) at 3:58 a.m., according to Matt Smolsky, Deputy Fire Chief. The Fire Marshal’s Office was still on the scene at 8:40 a.m. determining the cause of the fire.
