PW County to halt interior inspections of occupied dwellings for 30 days starting March 23

Effective March 23, 2020, Residential Inspections that require entry into an existing occupied dwelling will be suspended for 30-Days. This applies to inspections conducted by the Building Construction Inspections Branch, the Special Inspections Section, and the Building Code Enforcement Section

PW County Executive Chris Martino declares local “State of Emergency”

County Executive Chris Martino signed a Declaration of Local State of Emergency for Prince William County in response to the guidance from the Centers for Disease Control to limit crowds of people to 50 or less to help slow the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19). The county remains at three confirmed cases.

PWC parent education classes have been canceled

Parenting classes offered through the Prince William office of Virginia Cooperative Extension (VCE) have been canceled until further notice.

PWC Board of Supervisors March 17 meeting canceled

The PWC Board of County Supervisors has CANCELED its March 17, 2020 meeting due to the situation with COVID-19 and the Governor Northam's temporary statewide ban on all public events of more than 100 people.

PWC cancels outside meetings, closes sites, encourages online and phone contact

Residents are strongly encouraged to do business with Prince William County Government online or via the phone, if possible. In addition, residents should call the office they wish to visit before making the trip.

PWC Police set Community Fair Sept. 7 at County Complex on PW Parkway near Lake Ridge & Dale City

Prince William County Police Department will host a community fair on Saturday, Sept. 7, to celebrate the county’s diversity, to embrace unity among the various communities in the county and showcase the many facets of police work in the county with displays, fun activities, appointments with a recruiter, pet adoptions and much more.

PWC Police Crime report May 10: Haymarket man arrested after bomb threat at jail & courthouse

The investigation revealed that the caller, identified as the accused, entered the lobby with a bag which he immediately took to a restroom. The accused then called 911 and falsely reported a bomb threat to the complex: includes the Adult Detention Center (ADC) and adjoining PWC Courthouse.
