Siren testing Nov. 20 at 10 a.m. for Occoquan Dam

On Wednesday, Nov.20, 2024, at 10 a.m., Fairfax Water will conduct its annual test of the Occoquan Dam Siren warning system.

Occoquan Town Hall officially named

Prince William County Department of Development Services has selected Mandi Spina as Deputy Director. This is a new position approved in the 2022-23 budget. Spina has nearly 10 years of experience supporting the Department in increasingly senior roles.

Until further notice, Prince William County residents may only drop off regular household trash at the Nokesville School and Evergreen Fire Station Saturday collection sites. Recyclables should be taken to the most convenient recycling trailer location.

Letter to Editor: Urge PWC Supervisors to OK drinking water study before vote on land use changes

At its meeting August 2, the Prince William Board of County Supervisors (BOCS) will be presented with a resolution to accept the written offer of the Fairfax Water Authority General Manager to use its scientific board and lab resources to study the impacts of three major land use proposals currently in review: Comp Plan Amendments "Pathway to 2040," "PW Digital Gateway" and the "Data Center Overlay District Expansion." Please urge your BOCS representative to authorize the drinking water study before they vote on these major land use changes.

PWC Development Services to open at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, July 27

The PWC Department of Development Services’ Building Construction Services Plan Intake and Permit counters will open at 9:30 a.m., on Wednesday, July 27, due to mandatory staff training.
