Western PWC Del. Lovejoy to file five anti-data center bills

Western Prince William Delegate Ian Lovejoy (R-22) has issued a news release saying he will submit five unique pieces of legislation aimed at mitigating growing data center impacts, particularly in Prince William County.

Senior center in Manassas getting its first-ever facelift

People who use the Manassas Senior Center are seeing work on a $600,000 expansion scheduled to be completed in December. It will include room to run aerobics, belly dancing, line dancing, tap dancing, yoga and tai chi classes that are currently bursting the seams. The center will remain open during construction.

New Virginia law combines dates of sales tax “holidays”

Legislation enacted during the 2015 General Assembly (Senate Bill 1319) combined the three existing sales tax holidays into one, three-day holiday in August. The legislation took effect on July 1, 2015.
