We just adjourned the 2016 legislative session of the Virginia General Assembly with approval of a bipartisan two-year Virginia state budget. The good news: The budget is balanced, cautious, sensible, and doesn't increase taxes or fees

Grants announced by the Virginia Department of Education (VDOE) March 9 will support cybercamp programs for Manassas and Manassas Park high school students as well as students in 36 other localities this summer.

U.S. Sen. Mark R. Warner (D-VA) joined Sens. Tom Udall (D-NM), Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY), Sheldon Whitehouse (D-RI), Jeff Merkley (D-OR), and Martin Heinrich (D-NM) to introduce the Fairness and Independence in Redistricting (FAIR) Act to take partisanship out of the congressional redistricting process by requiring states to establish independent, bipartisan redistricting commissions.
