Time to pay Prince William County property taxes; deadline is Dec. 5

Taxpayers are encouraged to pay their taxes before the Dec. 5 due date. A late payment penalty of 10 percent will apply to any unpaid tax balance after the Dec. 5 deadline. Additionally, interest will accrue monthly on unpaid balances at a rate of 10 percent per annum until they are fully paid.

Building development fees in county to jump July 1

Prince William Board of County Supervisors approved an increased FY17 Building Development Fee Schedule in conjunction with the FY17 Budget Adoption. The higher fees are effective July 1, 2016.

SCC staff recommends Haymarket power lines be put underground
