Western PWC Del. Lovejoy to file five anti-data center bills

Western Prince William Delegate Ian Lovejoy (R-22) has issued a news release saying he will submit five unique pieces of legislation aimed at mitigating growing data center impacts, particularly in Prince William County.

Prince William County Public Schools (PWCS) official enrollment is 88,920 students for the 2016-17 school year. Enrollment grew by 1,667 students, or 1.9 percent from the previous year. The new growth figure eclipses the 1.2 percent increase seen the previous year by more than 600 students.

Prince William County School Board has added a Nov. 30 meeting, cancelled Dec. 7 & Dec. 21 meetings and added four meetings specifically on the 2017-18 budget: Jan. 11, Feb. 22, March 2 & 8, 2017.
