Western PWC Del. Lovejoy to file five anti-data center bills

Western Prince William Delegate Ian Lovejoy (R-22) has issued a news release saying he will submit five unique pieces of legislation aimed at mitigating growing data center impacts, particularly in Prince William County.

Road improvements made at Vint Hill; more construction on new phase begins April 24

A new roundabout at Vint Hill Parkway and Farm Station Road has opened. The project’s next phase will reconstruct Kennedy Rd. between Aiken Dr. and Burrough Dr. and complete Vint Hill Parkway between the roundabout and Kennedy Rd. This part of Kennedy Rd. will be closed for about three months starting April 24. Signs will be posted during construction.

PW Schools budget: one-step pay increase and boosts pay for starting teachers and classified workers

The now-finalized $1.14 billion operating and debt service budget funds the education of nearly 91,000 Prince William County Public Schools students in the upcoming 2017–18 school year. It maintains all existing programs and services, and gives all employees a one-step compensation increase.

Prince William School Board to take parliamentary procedure training in May and June

Prince William County School Board will receive training in parliamentary procedure from Thomas Balch, J.D., a Professional Registered Parliamentarian, during two one-hour sessions, one on May 3 and one on June 7.

Route 28 roadwork updates April 17-21

Prince William County Department of Transportation Department will be working along sections of Route 28 corridor for paving, pavement marking installation and shoulder stone paving April 17-21, between 9 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.
