U.S. Senator Tim Kaine, D-VA, a member of the Senate Armed Services Committee, released the following statement on President Trump signing into law the Fiscal Year 2019 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA).

Aurora Flight Sciences, a pioneer in unmanned aircraft and autonomous flight, will invest more than $13.75 million to expand its operation in the City of Manassas, according to a news release from the office of Gov. Ralph Northam. The company plans to build a robotics and integration facility that will consist of a manufacturing unit, a research and development lab, a hangar, and office space. The project will create 135 new jobs.

CenterFuse, a co-work space and small business incubator located in Historic Downtown Manassas, took home top honors in the Outstanding Business of the Year category at the recent Virginia Main Street (VMS) Conference in Harrisonburg. CenterFuse is a cooperative/collaborative work space that offers professional services and support to start-up businesses and emerging ventures.

Prince William County recently got word that it will be receiving $244 million from the Northern Virginia Transportation Authority, or NVTA, for transportation projects over the next six years.

Wayne Mallard, retired PWCS deputy superintendent and former principal, has been named interim associate superintendent for Finance and Support Services for Prince William County Schools. He will replace Dave Cline, who is retiring after 29 years of service to PWCS.
