A Town Hall/Charrette for the Dale City Small Area Plan will be held at two meetings, one tonight (Monday, March 11, 2019) and one on Thursday, March 14, 2019. Attendance on both nights is strongly encouraged.

Residents can learn about plans for the Balls Ford Road interchange construction project at Va. 234 at a meeting from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 3, at Gainesville Middle School, 8001 Limestone Drive, in Gainesville.

Scientists at the University of Virginia School of Medicine in Charlottesville have discovered a defect in immune cells known as “killer T cells” that explains their inability to destroy cancer tumors. The finding could be a significant boost to the burgeoning field of immunotherapy, which aims to harness the body’s immune defenses to defeat cancer, a UVASM news release said.

After passing the legislature, HB 2529 was signed into law by the governor, giving nearly $1 billion back to Virginia taxpayers, reports Del. Tim Hugo, who represents part of Prince William County. This is about $400 per family.
