Time to pay Prince William County property taxes; deadline is Dec. 5

Taxpayers are encouraged to pay their taxes before the Dec. 5 due date. A late payment penalty of 10 percent will apply to any unpaid tax balance after the Dec. 5 deadline. Additionally, interest will accrue monthly on unpaid balances at a rate of 10 percent per annum until they are fully paid.

Minority tech company to expand headquarters in Fairfax and add 120 new jobs

Governor Ralph Northam today, March 27, announced that Zantech IT Services, Inc., a provider of leading-edge technology solutions to federal government and industry, will invest $317,853 to expand its corporate offices in Fairfax County. Virginia successfully competed with Washington D.C., Maryland, and West Virginia for the project, which will create 120 new jobs.

Some 627,000 Virginians will get back their licenses to drive after Gov. Northam March 26 amended legislation to eliminate the practice of suspending driving privileges for nonpayment of court fines and costs.

Dean, Inc., a leading electrical design-build and systems integration firm for mission-critical organizations, will invest $25.1 million to incorporate a new product line at its fabrication and distribution facility in Caroline County. The company, headquartered at Tysons, has bee conducting business in Virginia for 70 years.
