Western PWC Del. Lovejoy to file five anti-data center bills

Western Prince William Delegate Ian Lovejoy (R-22) has issued a news release saying he will submit five unique pieces of legislation aimed at mitigating growing data center impacts, particularly in Prince William County.

Applications for NOVEC scholarships due March 15

Northern Virginia Electric Cooperative and the Virginia, Maryland & Delaware Association of Electric Cooperatives are offering higher-education scholarships to public, private, and home-schooled high school seniors whose families receive electricity from electric cooperatives. House of Delegates Appropriations Committee oks budget with pay raises for teachers andstate workers

The House of Delegates Appropriations Committee released and passed its 2020 Budget on Feb. 17, according to a report from Del. Hala Ayala of Lake Ridge, who represents part of the Prince William County area. This includes the Governor’s Budget as well as numerous budget amendments presented to and approved by the Appropriations Committee, she said.
