Video surveillance footage revealed two unknown men pried open the front door of the business and attempted to remove the ATM. The suspects were only able to remove a portion of the ATM before fleeing, according to Ofc. Wade Dickinson, public information officer.

On March 15 at 12:52PM, officers responded to the 2900 block of Chinkapin Oak Ln. in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a shots fired call. The investigation revealed that three unknown men were observed walking in a nearby wooded area, when one of them retrieved a firearm and fired a round towards Jed Forest Lane. The suspects then walked away and were last seen on Patrick Henry Drive.

On Tuesday, Dec. 8, the suspect sought in connection to the armed robbery that was reported to have occurred at the 7-Eleven located at 7500 Cushing Rd. in Manassas (20109) on Nov. 22, was arrested.

On Monday, Dec. 7, detectives with the Prince William County Police Department's Violent Crimes Unit, in coordination with members of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), Manassas City Police Department, and Arlington Police Department, identified and charged the suspect sought in connection to the attempted bank robbery that occurred at the TD Bank located at 13630 Foulger Square in Woodbridge (22192) on Nov. 25.

Virginia's State Corporation Commission (SCC) is extending the existing general moratorium on utility shutoffs from Aug. 31 until Sept. 16. The extension gives the General Assembly, currently in special session, additional time to enact any legislation it may choose addressing the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on utility customers, an SCC news release said.

Gov. Ralph Northam has announced $70 million for small businesses and nonprofit organizations whose normal operations were disrupted by the COVID-19 pandemic. The funding will come through Rebuild VA, a new economic recovery fund, and grants of up to $10,000 will be awarded to approximately 7,000 applicants to cover eligible expenses.
