Western PWC Del. Lovejoy to file five anti-data center bills

Western Prince William Delegate Ian Lovejoy (R-22) has issued a news release saying he will submit five unique pieces of legislation aimed at mitigating growing data center impacts, particularly in Prince William County.

Bill protects merit-based federal employee system and federal workers’ rights

This legislation led by Sen. Kaine would prevent any position in the federal civil service from being reclassified outside of merit system principles without the express consent of Congress. The bill would secure the civil service system and "safeguard tens of thousands of federal employees from losing job protections and due process rights," a news release said.

Virginia taxpayers to receive rebates

This fall, approximately 3.2 million eligible Virginia taxpayers will receive one-time tax rebates of up to $250 if they filed individually, and up to $500 if they filed jointly, according to a news release from the Governor's Office.
