UVA Health reports that it has joined a nationwide study evaluating two repurposed medications in the search for effective, safe treatments for mild-to-moderate COVID-19. Repurposed medications are already approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for the treatment of other diseases or conditions.

Fix-It events give community residents an opportunity to bring salvageable items such as jewelry, clothing, small furniture, appliances and bicycles for repair and subsequent reuse. The event also gives fixers the opportunity to share their skills and that helps encourage reuse and repair of serviceable items.
