Police look for suspect in case of animal cruelty to six-week-old terrier puppy

On Jan. 29, Prince William County Animal Control Officers began an investigation into an animal cruelty case that was reported to have occurred at a residence located in the 2400 block of West Longview Dr. in Woodbridge (22191) between Jan. 8 and Jan. 27.

Supervisors call special meeting for Feb. 25 to deal with animal shelter issues

Prince William Board of County Supervisors will hold a Special Meeting on Tuesday, Feb. 25, 2020 at 7:30 p.m. to review options regarding the construction of the animal shelter and to obtain public feedback on the project.

PWC dogs need to be wearing a dog license by Feb. 1

Any dog not wearing a 2020 license tag by Feb. 1 will be in violation of Prince William County Code and owners will be subject to a fine. The license fee is $10 per dog. To obtain a license, owners must present a valid rabies certificate for each dog.
